Triangle Mini Storage & U-Haul Dealer was founded in 2005 with a simple goal: to provide the Wilmington, Illinois community and surrounding areas with reliable, secure, and convenient storage and moving solutions. As a family-owned and operated business, we saw an opportunity to meet a growing local need—not only for quality self-storage, but also for dependable rental equipment that makes moving and hauling easier for everyone.
What began as a vision to serve our community has grown into a full-service storage and rental facility. Today, we offer a wide range of options, including self-storage and mini-storage units, boat and RV parking, and both indoor and outdoor storage solutions. In addition, we’re proud to be a U-Haul Authorized Dealer, providing truck, trailer, towing, and moving equipment rentals to support moves of all sizes—whether across town or across the country.

U-Haul Truck & Trailer Rentals: As an authorized U-Haul dealer, Triangle Mini Storage makes moving easy. In addition, we provide trailer rentals for towing vehicles, equipment, or extra cargo—perfect for DIY moves, hauling projects, or weekend getaways.

We have had a unit with them for over a year now. This place is family owned, so you can see the care and details in that. Even a couple times last year when things got a little tough they worked with us. I love Keiko and all she does for this place! (sorry if I spelled your name wrong! 😱) They give you 24 hr access and it is secure with a gate and cameras. (Not lights everywhere so you may need flashlights or your vehicle to light up, but a lot of places I've used over the years here and back home in Montana are the same. Not a big deal.) If you are looking for a great company with amazing customer service, reasonable prices, secure facility, and trustworthy this is your place!! *IRISH ☘ ROSE🌹 APPROVED*

FAQ

Do I need to make an appointment to get storage or a U-Haul?

No. We hold regular office hours and you can call or stop by anytime while our office is open to get help with storage units, parking, or U-Haul rentals. Our standard office hours: Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, and Saturdays from 8am to 3pm.

Can I rent storage or U-Hauls online or over the phone?

We don't rent storage units and parking online or over the phone. Please make plans to stop by during our regular office hours to do paperwork to get a storage unit or a parking space.

U-Haul has company wide rules for rentals. Generally, you must come during office hours to rent trailers and towing equipment. Trucks can be rented in office during office hours, or 24/7 using U-Haul's smart phone app.

Do you offer any discounts or move in specials on storage units?

We have an ongoing discount available for storage units: If you prepay 6 months, you get the 7th month free. We don't offer any move in specials or other discounts. We don't participate in U-Haul's "One Month Free" program. However, you can rest assured that our pricing is simple and transparent. While you may not get a "move in special", our prices are standardized and stable. You won't face sudden or drastic rent changes.

What do I need to rent a storage unit? Do I need a deposit or several months rent?

No! We ask only for your first month's rent and an optional $20 lock deposit to move in. You can also choose to bring your own lock rather than pay the lock deposit. Please also bring a valid government issued ID.

How long do I have to rent a storage unit for? Can I cancel any time?

Our storage units and parking spaces are month-to-month leases. We have a one month minimum, which you pay for the day you sign your lease. After that, there is no obligation. If you want to keep the unit, you pay for another month. If you're done storing, just let us know and we'll end your lease with no penalties.
